Group Photography Workshops & Training for Beginners

Group Training for Beginners using Digital SLR and Bridge Cameras

Option 1: 
Three Hour introduction – £29 per person.  Perfect for beginners

A Group session for up to 6 people covering everything you need to know to get great photos from your camera.

The session will cover:

  • Basic camera settings;
  • ISO,
  • Shutter Priority,
  • Aperture Priority,
  • white balance,
  • depth of field,
  • use of flash and
  • exposure compensation.

Although this practical workshop has some theory supported by handouts, the emphasis is on practical work to help develop and consolidate your understanding.
Practical work will be based around group activities within the studio designed to help you gain confidence in how different camera settings affect the final image.

You’ll also receive Handouts from each session along with ongoing support, via email, for 28 days after your workshop.

Groups have a maximum of 6 people, ensuring that you have the fullest opportunity to make the most of your session. All sessions take place in my fully equipped studio in Garforth, Leeds.

What you’ll need:

  • DSLR or Bridge camera
  • Charged battery
  • An empty memory card (don’t forget to clear any images from it in advance)

Start time: 9.30am

 Option 2:
Six hour workshop £49 - As Option 1 PLUS an introductory session on digital editing and filing

The session will cover:

  • How to transfer your images to your PC
  • Managing files
  • A demonstration of basic editing techniques
  • Saving images – formats for printing, email, etc.

The day lasts from 9:30am to 3.30pm with refreshments included.  Total price £49 per person

Start time: 9.30am
