Boudoir Studio Workshop – Training Workshop

Something a little different……a workshop for photographers wanting to learn how to work with models and use studio lighting to capture Boudoir style images, followed by digital editing techniques directly related to this style.
Boudoir Photography is not just for the young. The majority of my clients from the past 15 years have been ‘Ladies of a Certain Age’. Ladies who are keen to explore their personality, gain in confidence and enjoy life.
Our model is not your typical 20 something with a size 8 figure…….She’s curvy and voluptuous, exuding the sensuality that often comes with a more mature outlook on life, and she’ll throw up a few challenges that will test your skills as a photographer and help you learn techniques to use on models of all ages, shapes and sizes.
In this workshop you will learn:
- How to put your model at ease
- Lighting techniques and ‘poses’ designed to flatter
- Options for lingerie, fabrics, etc to enhance the figure
Group Training Workshops:
You’ll be part of a small group attending a 2½ hour workshop with tuition on studio lighting and composition for Boudoir photography including:
- how to use lighting to full effect,
- practice directing the model,
- how to use fabrics, lingerie and props to enhance the composition, and
- get some great shots and gain experience in the studio setting.
All for just £69 per person.
Sessions are delivered in small groups of no more than 6 photographers, ensuring you every opportunity to engage with the model and learn new techniques. Our aim is to ensure that you have a firm understanding of how to use lighting to achieve the results you’re looking for in the future. The workshop will equip you with skills and understanding and allow you to move forward with your own style.
One-to-One Workshops
Option 1
3 Hours
A complete workshop with a mature model, at our studio in east Leeds:
- a 2 hour shoot with tuition on studio lighting and composition for Boudoir photography. Our model, will offer a range of lingerie styles. You’ll learn how to use lighting to full effect, practice directing the model, how to use fabrics, lingerie and props to enhance the composition, and get some great shots and gain experience in the studio setting.
- an hour learning photoshop techniques: Adjustment tools and filters, Liquify, and more….developing your skills and confidence to allow you to get the very best from your work.

Option 2
2 Hours
- Studio only – A 2 hour shoot, with tuition on studio lighting and composition for Boudoir photography. Our model, will offer a range of lingerie styles. You’ll learn how to use lighting to full effect, practice directing the model, how to use fabrics, lingerie and props to enhance the composition, and get some great shots and gain experience in the studio setting.
Studio only session £199 (Telephone or email to book your personal 1:1 session)
Sessions are delivered on a one to one basis and will be tailored to meet your experience and knowledge. Each session will focus on areas that you, as the ‘student’, wish to concentrate on**.

**We endeavour to include specific requests to help with customers’ portfolios, however our aim is to ensure that you have a firm understanding of how to use lighting to achieve the results you’re looking for in the future. The workshop will equip you with skills and understanding and allow you to move forward with your own style. Although we will make every effort to do so, we cannot give a firm guarantee that we will include specific scenarios as we may not have the props, resources or time.
